Just found out that the new Heroes & Heralds DLC for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 came out yesterday.. for free. Capcom actually giving away something for free rather than overcharging for mediocre DLC? Someone check the weather in hell, this is fantastic!
Soooo what is Heroes & Heralds?
H&H is a new mode in UMvC3 that allows players to pick between two sides – the Heroes and the Heralds. You can play as members of your faction on and offline to unlock character cards that are used during combat to unlock new moves and give other passive benefits like invisibility, increased armor, X-factor bursts, projectile invulnerability and assist attack stuns as shown in the promo video. Also, at the end of each week, whichever faction racks up the most wins unlocks improved ability cards and a chance to unlock free character skins.
I guess this is Capcom’s way of telling us they’re sorry for skimping out on the gameplay modes for the game itself and actually making us pay for Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorrath. Thanks.. I guess?
