It was confirmed today that Sony is doing everything they can to be consumer-centric with the PS4 by allowing you access to your entire game library no matter which console you sign in to. If you own the digital version of Watch Dogs and your buddy wants to check it out, you can head over to his place, log in and enjoy.
This sounds like a pretty good idea on Sony’s part and I think it’s the closest thing that we’ll see to "lending" virtual downloads now that the Microsoft 180 killed the "family sharing" features.
If anything, I’m really hoping this feature entices Microsoft to work out a plan to bring back family sharing, even if it’s just an option for people that want to "opt in" to DRM or an always-on connection.
