Finally got my new Panda Shaman out of the starting zone, enchanted both BoA maces with Windsong, tossed a max-level shoulder enchant on the BoA shoudlers, a max-level Shadow-whatever leg armor on the BoA legs and went Enhancement. Which I haven’t been since raiding Kara and ZA in TBC. Yikes.

I completely loathe the Panda starting zone, mostly due in part to being spoiled by BoA and guild perks. Honestly, it’s nowhere near as mind-numbing as the Goblin or Worgen area. I like the quests a lot and the Pandaren lore is fantastic.. but I’m spoiled.

I completely loathe it, but that’s because I HATE being stuck on a freaking island that I can’t get away from until I complete the whole damn questline. What if I don’t WANNA? What if I wanna go to the Forsaken starting area? I have done the goblin one so damn many times it blends together and I seriously hesitate before starting another, because it just feels like such a grind now. LET ME OFF THE STUPID ISLANDS, LET ME BE FREEEEEEEEEE!

Exactly. And the Goblin island is soooooooooo loooooooooong that you’re already there until 15+, yet can’t queue for any dungeons until you finish it out. If you send over your BoA gear, quests are gray by the time you finish 60% of them.
It’s a double-edged sword because they did a great job telling the story of how Goblins became a part of the Horde, but after you’ve been through it once.. I wish you had the option to skip it all and start somewhere else. Like some sort of ambassador option or something. Same with Pandaren. Log in and if you’ve already completed the starting zone previously on another character, select “skip to the good stuff!” and choose Horde or Alliance. Done and done. It’s like your previous Pandaren is sponsoring your new one, like moving to Canada or something.
