It’s been a while since my last blog post, what with the out of state move killing most of my motivation to do so.
Since then I’ve gotten my Elemental Shaman, Eightbit, to 90 and have been trying to gear him up in LFR. I’m sitting at 510 right now, but since he resides on a dead realm it’s been a bitch to pick up gems and enchants. I have a max enchanter (another 90 Warlock) but no spare mats, really, so I’m one of those scrubs that goes in to SoO half-assed.
In another odd turn of events, I’ve loathed my Warrior since tanking LFR at the beginning of the expansion, but on a whim I decided to use my spare Timeless Isle tokens to build him a DPS set. Turns out I love Arms DPS and took him through ToT twice, nailing tons of upgrades in the process. Oh, yeah, and he’s also on my old, dead realm. Ho hum.
On a non-WoW related note, both new, next-gen consoles were released over the last few weeks. I know I’ve talked about them in previous posts before WoW sort of took me in to a strangle hold, but I can’t wait to pick up an Xbox One. I was a huge fan of the original Xbox and the Xbox 360, but I’m not a fanboy. I’m sure I’ll end up with both at some point, I just prefer the Microsoft exclusives when it comes down to it. I’ve always stood by Halo, Fable and Gears of War over InFamous, God of War and Little Big Planet, but most of the games we all play are cross-platform anyway.
I’m dying (no pun intended) to play Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5, and for some odd reason I’d like to check out Ryse if not just porn from a graphical standpoint. Killer Instinct is getting mixed reviews, but as a 2D fighter fan it’s a no brainer, at least to check out the free version with Jago. Titanfall looks rad, as does Quantum Break, and I’d like to see more of Sunset Overdrive and Spark.
My Wii U is still collecting dust, but Super Mario 3D World looks amazing and I still haven’t picked up Wind Waker HD. I’ve gone back to my PS3 since my PSN Plus subscription expires soon and I have a few things I’d like to beat that I downloaded for free during my tenure.
Right now I’m enjoying the hell out of Sleeping Dogs (like a whole, whole lot) and Hotline Miami. I would still like to finish up Hitman: Absolution and Battlefield 3 before the sub ends too, but those weren’t at the top of my list.
