A BioShock trilogy remaster (or whatever you want to call these things) has been rumored for quite some time, with various leaks across the board. But today, it’s official.
BioShock: The Collection will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 13th (in NA, 15th & 16th internationally) for the full retail price of $59.99. It’ll include all single-player DLC, along with commentary from Ken Levine himself.
It’s worth noting that BioShock 2’s multiplayer mode will not be included in the collection, and BioShock Infinite will not be remastered for PC, as 2K states “it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.”
I don’t usually get excited about remasters, but the original BioShock and Infinite count among my favorite games of the last console generation and I eagerly await September 13th so I can revisit Rapture, Columbia, and the fantastic ride that is BioShock.
Thoughts?
Nice! I’ve been waiting for this so long. So long in fact…I now own all of these games on PS3 with all the DLC. So now the collection is pointless…still love that it’s confirmed lol.

The games should all run at 1080p/60fps, which the PS3 versions didn’t, so I guess it depends how important that and the director’s commentary are lol.
I have the trilogy on PS3 and 360, but I’ll probably grab it just because I never got the DLC for any of them. The commentary is interesting too, since I’ve always appreciated Ken Levine.

I consider the original and Infinite two of the best games of the last console generation. You’re in for a treat!
