It’s the middle of the month, which can only mean a new PlayStation Store Flash Sale is upon us. There are a few worthwhile discounts I wanted to make note of before the sale ends Monday morning, so let’s get to it!
Starting with Sony’s wonderful-yet-abandoned handheld platform, the Vita:
- Persona 4 Golden – $7.99
- Darkest Dungeon – $9.99 (cross-buy with PS4)
- Rogue Legacy – $4.24 (cross-buy with PS4)
- Super Meat Boy – $3.74
- Limbo – $1.99
- Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty – $4.99 (cross-buy with PS3 & PS4)
For starters, if you own a Vita but haven’t picked up Persona 4 Golden yet, it’s probably a great time to correct that. Not only is it the absolute best game on the handheld, but it’s one of the single greatest role-playing games of all time. The soundtrack is full of absolute bangers, the turn-based combat is quick and strategic, the cast is fantastic, and it’s bound to give you 80+ hours of RPGoodness.
The PS3 offerings are nothing to write home about. You can pick up some solid games, like the Dead Space trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Sleeping Dogs, Alice: Madness Returns, and the Jak and Daxter Collection for reasonable prices, but nothing I’d consider reason enough to plug the PS3 back in.
On the PS4 front:
- Resident Evil 4, ReRemake, and 0 – $7.99 (5 & 6 are also discounted)
- Resident Evil Revelations Bundle – $15.99 (includes Revelations + Revelations 2 Deluxe Edition)
- Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition – $5.99
- Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY Edition – $9.99 (includes all DLC chapters)
- Life is Strange Complete Season – $4.99
- Journey – $5.99
- Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition: Demon Hunter Bundle – $8.99
- Firewatch + theme – $5.49
- Inside – $6.99
- Inside + Limbo – $8.99
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition – $8.99
- King’s Quest: The Complete Collection – $9.89
- SOMA – $8.99
- Valkyria Chronicles Remastered – $11.99
SOMA is one of the most atmospheric, mind-fucking sci-fi games I’ve ever played and its new casual mode removes all of the enemy encounters to make it more of a first-person narrative adventure.
I thought Titanfall 2 had a fantastic campaign, which is worth the $6 discount price by itself. I can’t recommend Journey, Inside, Firewatch, and Life is Strange enough, and Dragon Age: Inquisition’s $10 price for all of its accompanied DLC is a whole lotta game. Even if you haven’t played Origins, Awakening, or Dragon Age 2, it’s a good jumping-on point.
You can check out the full list of discounts here.
Anything tickle your fancy?
I’m not missing out this time! I slept on your last post about a PS RPG sale and I’m so mad at myself. I’ll be picking up Persona 4 Golden. You can’t beat that price.

Hm, I’m wondering if it’s only for PSN members. I’m not seeing Persona 4 Golden there, or it could just be I’m not seeing the sale yet.

Flash Sales are only good for the weekend, so unfortunately it’s not on sale anymore. That sale would have ended Monday morning since the post was from last weekend. Sorryyyyyy!!!

Bahahaha, nope that’s my bad :p I thought this was your recent Friday post. Oh well, it’s not like I wasn’t JUST saying that I need to play the games I have and not buy anymore. Cue me thinking there’s one little sale and that promise it out the window!
