It’s the Freakin’ Weekend! What Are You Playing?

I did it! I FINALLY finished The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III! 90 hours later, the credits have rolled and I have more questions than answers — which is good! The series ends this fall and I cannot wait.

Since I’ll be reviewing Cold Steel 3, I don’t want to go into my thoughts just yet. And with that out of the way, Sakura Wars is next in line. Yes, the JRPG train never stops.

I kind of want to squeeze a smaller game in between now and Sakura Wars, but I’m not sure which one. I was thinking maybe Life is Strange 2 or TOKYODARK.

I’m keeping it short and sweet this weekend since I’m heading out of town and have an 18-hour road trip ahead of me on Saturday.

The only highlight I have from this week goes out to my good buddy Matt at 3PStart, who has a few short podcasts covering the lore of Dead by Daylight. I shared his first episode a few weeks back but there are a few more up there now.

So what are you all playing this weekend?

  1. Congrats on finishing Cold Steel 3! It’s a long ass game for sure.

I’m not completely sure what I’ll be getting into this weekend. Maybe some Assassin’s Creed? I am really into Atelier Ryza right now though and I plan on jumping into Crystar once I’m finished with it.

      1. Yeah, Ryza is a good, short RPG and I really need to play something short right now.

I’m playing Origins again, but on Xbox this time with all the DLC. I love Bayek and it’s still one of the best looking games I’ve ever played. Odyssey is next on my list since I have all the DLC for that now.

          1. There was a big Assassin’s Creed sale recently so that’s where I got the season pass to Odyssey since I never had a chance to finish it on PS4. I also double dipped on Origins and I’m very happy with it right now.

  2. I’ve been splitting my time between Days Gone on PS4 and Super Mario Odyssey on the Switch. I think I’m a little closer to finishing Super Mario Odyssey than I am with Days Gone.

      1. I’ve put around 20 hours into Days Gone and I don’t think I’ve hit the halfway point with it. I was like you, I had it on my wishlist for ages, as I thought it was just another open world survival game. After spending some time with Days Gone, I feel like it is one of the lesser appreciated PS4 exclusives, which is a shame as it seems to be a solid game so far.
