Newest Additions to my Japanese Sega Saturn Collection

I found a seller on eBay that was located in Japan and selling off a stack of five complete games for the Sega Saturn. My search initially started with All-Japan Pro Wrestling Featuring Virtua, which was $20 by itself, but this specific listing had that together with Virtua Fighter, Virtua Fighter Remix, Virtua Fighter Kids, and Fighters Megamix for $40.

How could I say no?

They arrived today and everything seemed to be as advertised, but then I noticed the disc for Virtua Fighter has a data scratch on the top of the disc that you can see from the bottom. A data scratch is usually a death sentence since the data itself is stored on the top of the disc, underneath the label.

I contacted the seller to see what can be done about it. Hopefully that means replacing it, but I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg shipping it back to Japan. The cost of overseas shipping from the US is fucking terrible.

Either way, I’m happy to add more Japanese games to my Saturn collection, especially 5 that I loved playing in the 90s.

Now I just have to wait and see what the seller says.

UPDATE: They’re sending me another disc tomorrow!
