To be honest, I lost interest in the Bloodrayne series after playing the original for PS2 and watching that God awful Uwe Boll film. Bloodrayne: Betrayal actually caught my attention before as it’s no longer a 3D action game but a 2D action platformer. I’m glad I waited since it’s free right now.
I played the Outland demo last year and was blown away, but with so many good games released in 2011 I let it slip by. I didn’t need another 2D platformer that, in a way, plays like Ikaruga with the color swapping and looks amazingly delicious in HD. So if you’re a PSN Plus subscriber, head on over and pick up both games for the low cost of free!
